Edwards Seaweed Secures Organic Approval For Flagship Fertiliser
Edwards’ Seaweed Fertiliser UK has achieved organic certification from Organic Farmers & Growers (OF&G) for its flagship seaweed fertiliser, giving UK organic farmers and growers greater choice when selecting natural, sustainable seaweed solutions to support soil health and crop performance.
The organic certification of Edwards Advanced Seaweed Fertiliser marks an important milestone for the Shropshire-based business and strengthens its 100% British offer for organic growers nationwide. The family-owned company now has four uniquely blended, chemical-free products recognised by OF&G as suitable for use in organic production: Edwards Advanced Seaweed Fertiliser, a liquid regenerative fertiliser; EASy BioN, a soil enhancer; Mycroboost, a rapid seed germination aid; and Seaweed, a liquid regenerative fertiliser.
Dave Edwards, CEO and Co-Founder of Edwards Seaweed Fertiliser UK, explains: “The latest approval from OF&G reinforces our longstanding commitment to developing effective, environmentally friendly products that meet the needs of modern British agriculture and horticulture. With our main liquid seaweed fertiliser now joining two existing OF&G-approved products, we are well positioned to support UK growers looking for trusted, cost-effective, and homegrown inputs that align with organic farming principles.”
The achievement marks a positive step forward for Edwards Seaweed as the business expands its range and helps UK growers make the most of seaweed’s enormous potential for sustainable, regenerative production of cereals, root crops, fruit trees, grasslands, pasture, and more.
